25th Draw = EARTHQUAKE! DDD: [Voice/Action]

[Backdated to shortly after the earthquake ended.]

[Selphie had woken up earlier that day to a pleasant day and she'd prepared a list of things that she needed to get done. Laundry and cleaning up the apartment were on the top of that list before she felt a rumbling that made her blood run cold. She bolted for the nearest doorway, bracing herself for the shaking that will leave place full of broken plates, spoiled food and destroyed contents. Granted, the quake only lasts a few minutes but they're the longest of her life before she's dashing into her room. She's throwing on clean clothes and tossing some of her belongings (journal, clothes, sentimental items from her friends) into her backpack before slipping into her sneakers. Her Morning Star is attached to the bottom of the backpack.

She stares at the destruction of her home before she's making her way toward the door. She has to get out, it's not safe inside. She doesn't want to be caught inside another explosion or some type of disaster and for the love of Hyne, this is screaming Trabia to her all over again. She stares at it for a couple minutes in wide-eyed horror before closing the door behind her. Whatever's happening today cannot be good before she begins to leave the building. After that, she'll be running through the village, finding as many of her friends and acquaintances as possible.

She'll also help dig people out because she's a SeeD and that's the kind of thing that they'd do in this type of disaster. Inside, she's freaking out but she'll be doing her damned best not to let that show to anybody.]

Is everybody okay?! Check in or I'm coming -- forget it, I'm coming to find you anyway!

Squall, Irvine, Rinoa you all better be alive or I'm kicking your asses.

We're fine where I live, are you ok? [He sounds pretty worried, and it's obvious he's on the move as well from the sounds in the background. He'd left as soon as the quake stopped.]/

No, but he should be fine. from what I can see, everything south of my building is ok. [As long as he didn't get up at dawn like Frey usually did and go somewhere, he'd be fine.] I plan to check on him quickly then head toward the village center. People might need help.

I hope so. My area's not so lucky. [Selphie was thankfully up early that day because she was planning on doing chores and running errands but so much for those plans.] I'll head there in a bit. I've gotta find my friends first.

Ok. [And he'll head to the bridge and wait for her. The river seems a little off... odd.]

[Selphie arrives at the bridge a bit after Frey but her arm gets a lovely red track up the one side from a splintered board of House 33 that's standing up in the earth. Blood drips from the wound when Selphie stops next to Frey. Looking up, she notices that the barrier that keeps them trapped in Luceti in visible. Also, odd.]

[Frey sees the cut and don't mind him, he's going to be healing that for you. his right hand glows blue and as it does, so does her arm. A tingling warmth similar to the feel of sunlight flows through it as the cut heals itself. He follows her gaze to look at the barrier.] It seems like whatever is limiting our abilities here has dissipated.

[Frey's healing magic feels drastically different from the usual from her home and she'll stare at him surprise before giving him a small smile. The warmth is quite welcome.]

I wish I had a Guardian Force to help clear some of the rubble away. Hell, I wish I had a bulldozer. [Selphie pauses. He probably doesn't know what one is.] A bulldozer is a big machine used to move lots of stuff in a hurry. It's a like a big shovel.

[Frey smiles back. He'll admit it's nice to have the rune working properly again. As for a bulldozer... He's trying.... and kind of failing to imagine it, sorry.]

A big… shovel...? It might be helpful. Too bad we don't have one. I could probably blast some of the bigger stuff apart with the dawn rune or my cyclone rune, but I'm not quite sure how safe that would be.

Or maybe a plough. [Selphie ponders that.] Is there any way to concentrate the blast to prevent any more destruction?
