73rd Draw; Everything's Gonna be All Right~

[Enough! Enough is enough! There's just too much sadness going around Luceti right now and it doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon. Selphie feels like she has to do something about it. She doesn't trust her voice right now to say much of anything because the loses have gotten to her as well. Instead, she'll take to the paper in a similar way she did for Archie the other day.

First things, a good three-quarters in taken up solely by brightly coloured pictures. Trains, Sailboats, those red velvet cupcakes they have at the bakery, anything and everything that comes to mind. Then, she pulls out a pen and her bubbly looking penmanship flows over the page.]

I know that we've all been through a lot and we have reasons to hate this place but think about it this way. If we hadn't been brought to Luceti, we wouldn't have met each other. We wouldn't have learned the things that we've learned and we never would've known that our spirit can't be broken no matter what they do to us. It might shake us all up and have us wanting to give up but we can't do that.

As long as we're grateful for the friendships we've forged and the things we've all learned from each other, the Malnosso can never break us. So tell me guys, what's something that you've learned from another person while in Luceti that you would have never learned at home? For example, Sanji taught me how to cook and Giles introduced me to Romeo and Juliet.

So come on! Don't be shy!
♥ Selphie

-I learned a bit more about cats from Foot. Generally, I learned that I give them far too little credit. For cats.

-I've learned about being there for people and just [...] being friends from Grune.

-From Okita, I learned that there's nothing wrong with having a life. And I learned how to talk to people. That's a skill that's seen me through a very great deal.

-Jilly taught me just how therapeutic working with clay can be. I kept myself occupied with it, while I was blind.

-Ami and I have been building a boat more or less since day one.

-Ginia, with the patience of a saint, has taken it upon herself to teach me how to dance.

-And from Buffy I learned what can be changed and what can't.

I could go on, but, well, I think that makes my point.

Luceti has been good for me, in that regard.

Man, I wish someone had given me clay when I was blind...

It was some of the most unexpected and welcome advice I'd ever gotten. Not being able to read, I was driving myself quite up a wall just for something to do.

I wasn't exactly left alone anyway.

That's certainly fortunate. Especially when you need help getting around.

[Giles, for his part, spent a while alone. It wasn't at all pleasant.]

It's less helpful when there are people around to laugh when you run into things.

I actually had a friend make me a cane to help me get around on my own.

[A friend that she misses dearly but doesn't bring that up and likely won't unless Giles asks about Yao.]

That would be a bit upsetting...

Looking back, I probably should have thought to ask for one of those.

...but, then again, my pride had taken enough hits already. I probably wouldn't have used it much.

[The old person jokes from Buffy would never have stopped.]

Well for me it was either use the cane or be stuck inside going stir crazy.

I opted for the cane.

You probably ran into things much less than I did. Overall, I'd say you came out on top.

You probably didn't get lost like I did either.

That depends. If you got lost more than eight times a day the first week, you're right. I didn't.

Ever since then, so can I. Or at least desperately spacially unaware.

You're a good student, give yourself more credit. Not a lot of patience needed on my part.

...We'll talk more if I ever attempt to teach you the tango.

I'd rather not cause serious injury to myself and others, thanks.
