44th Draw = Check ups! [Voice/Open action]

[Since Selphie had returned to normal, she'd been left feeling a bit odd. Events of the past two weeks were fresh in her mind and most of those events had left her feeling a tad on the bummed side. That was what it felt like to have a family to her. She hoped that it would continue even though they were all back to their normal sizes and ages once again. If she were to be honest with herself, lacking that family atmosphere has her feeling a bit lonely but she's not about to let that on to others. If Yao were still around, she'd go see him because he'd always said she could come over and talk to him.

It was nice to have a confidant who could make a mean cup of tea. It made her think about the friends that she'd lost since she'd come back to Luceti in the spring as she hoped that they were all well wherever they were.

For now though, she'll pull on her winter gear and take a walk in hopes that the fresh air would help her figure some things out. A friendly ear might be a nice thing to have though as she kicks up bits of snow into the air. She stares at her breath in the chilly air before moving forward.

Someone's in need of some advice and maybe a hug or two.

Eventually, she finds her way into the main plaza before she plops down on the side of the snow covered fountain and opens up her journal.]

So guys. We all like different times of the year. Some like myself, like Winter. Others might like a different season instead. So, what's your favourite time of the year?

And how's everybody doing?

Depends on how small they make me. I can yell pretty loud y'know.

You seemed so when you were a child, yes. Loud and fast.

When you grow up in a house with mostly boys... you learn to be fast and loud.

[They haven't seen her nunchaku in action yet. Better yet, get the gal a rocket launcher and she'll show them the true definition of dangerous.]

[Rockets do nothing to saints, they can even walk through a radioactive area that would kill and melt a normal human in five seconds without any protection.]

The only girl in a family of boys?

One of a few in the Orphanage, actually.

I see. There weren't any girls in mine the time I was there, or when I was taken in. It was just boys all over.

[They're both orphans. Interesting.]

Do you have any brothers or sisters?

[He had ninety nine brothers. Out of which only nine are still alive as far as he knows, with one of them being in a comatose state.]

I have one little brother, his name's Shun though he's not here thankfully. Though waking up here without him when I was turned into a kid was pretty worrying back then.

If there are others from home here, I don't think it's as lonely. Oh... I hadn't been in the Orphanage very long when I woke up here so I didn't mind at all.

[He shrugs lightly.]

I don't care about being lonely. He has other things to worry about than waste time here, otherwise I wouldn't care if he was here or not. It's not as if I'm worried.

[Liar, liar, pants on fire! Which could be true given he's closely related to the Phoenix and fire.]

Not caring for being in one strange place after being in a strange place already, huh? I didn't mind it much either, once I learned that my brother wasn't here. It was mostly worrying because for that me I had been brought here just after someone attempted to kidnap him. So I actually thought they had succeeded.

So you're a lone wolf then. I dunno Ikki... if I had a sibling here, I'd be worried about them.

Home only got really weird this one time. It's usally pretty interesting but it's not usually weird.

He's old and strong enough to take care of himself.

[Do not remind him that he is, indeed, worried about the boy, okay? Shun is strong, probably the strongest in Ikki's opinion, but he has a heart that is too kind for his own good and hates to hurt even the most evil opponent, a trait that usually turns around to bite his ass. Normally it's not a problem, Ikki would come to help if needed or any of the others would.

But Seiya is in a coma, unable to do anything but sit on a wheelchair. Shiryuu and Hyoga, he knows nothing of their whereabouts. He's sure they are on their way to reunite with Athena and Shun but... And he's stuck there. Told to relax because time won't go on in his world, but he's facing Gods, the power to control time isn't beyond them. And he can't do anything but sit and wait.

Yes, he's worried. For Shun, Athena and the others. But worry won't fix anything and all it will serve is to bring him mad with the inability to return. All this subtext may or may not be picked in some part by Selphie, depending on how good she's at reading tsun-types and difference a worried frown from an angered one.]

How is your world exactly?

[He seems worried about something now as she stands up and attempts to place a hand on his shoulder. Given their significant height differences however, that's not likely to happen but if she's said something to upset him, then she gives him a silent apology before looking up with a serious look.

Whatever's happening where he's from, Ikki will get through it. That much, Selphie's certain of before the subject changes.]

My world has a lot of war and hatred. But the war isn't everywhere so those little pockets of peace are the best.

[The gesture takes him almost by surprise and he receives it with temporal confusion. He's not entirely used to those even with the other Saints, much less with someone that is basically a stranger. Sure, they met when they were under the effects of the experiment, but they were children then. It's hard to say that much of those kids is left still in them, thus it shouldn't really count.

Still, after the initial confusion he understands the following serious look and with it the gesture itself. He's not upset, really, just worried but he will die before admitting it. He nods lightly, a brief and light smile on his lips as a thank you for the silent apology, as unneeded as it was. All she had done was bring forth those thoughts, nothing more, they were always there after all.]

It's always a relief to know that there are parts in the world where people can have a peaceful life at least.

[Even if them themselves will unlikely get to enjoy that until the end of the war. At least in his case, which basically... Will never happen.]

My world is also involved in a war, a really long one. However, most of the humanity remain ignorant to it so they remain at relative peace. At least regarding what we deal with, people will still create war between themselves at times for the stupidest reasons.

[It doesn't matter if they're merely acquaintances to Selphie. She's the kind of person who would give a stranger the shirt off her back if they were in need of it. She smiles kindly before sighing at the thoughts of war being over stupid reasons.]

Aren't wars usually started for stupid reasons anyway? It'd be nice if we could all get along but even I know that it's just not gonna happen.

Depends on what we would consider stupid.

The wars I'm involved in usually start due a God or someone having a wish to take control of the world or destroy humanity and we defending it. Wouldn't say it's a stupid reason then.

Our wars usually start because of some moron wanting to gain more political power. Wars to me that start with politics are really, really stupid.

There are wars like that in my world too, but compared with what we deal with on a regular basis they aren't a priority to worry about. At least not for now.

[And honestly he hopes it never is. The Saints interfering in those wars would basically mean Athena interfering in mortal issues to control the outcome, be it by stopping the war or by favoring one side. It... Wouldn't sit well with Ikki in the least if that ever happened.]
