[Since Selphie had returned to normal, she'd been left feeling a bit odd. Events of the past two weeks were fresh in her mind and most of those events had left her feeling a tad on the bummed side. That was what it felt like to have a family to her. She hoped that it would continue even though they were all back to their normal sizes and ages once again. If she were to be honest with herself, lacking that family atmosphere has her feeling a bit lonely but she's not about to let that on to others. If Yao were still around, she'd go see him because he'd always said she could come over and talk to him.

It was nice to have a confidant who could make a mean cup of tea. It made her think about the friends that she'd lost since she'd come back to Luceti in the spring as she hoped that they were all well wherever they were.

For now though, she'll pull on her winter gear and take a walk in hopes that the fresh air would help her figure some things out. A friendly ear might be a nice thing to have though as she kicks up bits of snow into the air. She stares at her breath in the chilly air before moving forward.

Someone's in need of some advice and maybe a hug or two.

Eventually, she finds her way into the main plaza before she plops down on the side of the snow covered fountain and opens up her journal.]

So guys. We all like different times of the year. Some like myself, like Winter. Others might like a different season instead. So, what's your favourite time of the year?

Cocoa first! [And Selphie grins back.]

[She chuckles and pours some for them both.]

I suppose I'm doing this backward, giving us something warm before we go outside, but it's not like I didn't make plenty! We can just return for more.

[And she heads over to the table, handing Selphie a mug.]

Oh!

[She rushes back over to the counter, snagging the bag of mini marshmallows.]

Can't forget these!

[And there goes Selphie's eyes lighting up like a Christmas Tree.]

You're the best!

[She grins, sitting down.]

Help yourself! This is my way of saying thanks for the other week. I really had a lot of fun when we were all children.

You just wanted to turn Kain into a toad. Although I think we need to replace some of the furniture in the house after that all happened.

And you're welcome. [She drops a handful of marshmallows into her cocoa and watches them melt.]

Well, you have to admit, Kain brought it upon himself. 'Swamp-head', indeed.

[She drops a few marshmallows in her own cocoa.]

We can go shopping for replacements soon. Between the two of us, we ought to remember the important things, anyway.

[She giggles.] He really did look like a girl though.

Definitely a lamp or two... I kinda knocked it over.

[Rydia grins.]

So did I. And I'm pretty sure Kain destroyed the microwave, though I'm not sure if I want to replace that. Every time we get a new one, it just dies a horrible death.

You know... I could show you all how to use the microwave...

Oh, I know how. The boys are pretty hopeless, though. I'm not sure how many microwaves they killed, but I lost count long before.

[She shakes her head.]

You can try, but I wouldn't expect much.

Step-by-step instructions maybe?

Ah, but 'real men don't need instructions'.

[Rydia rolls her eyes at that notion, then takes another sip.]

Ceodore's likely to listen to you, at least.

Bah. Real men don't need instructions. If it keeps them from blowing up another microwave then they'll get instruction and they'll listen.

He'd better.

I've settled for banning Kain from the microwave, because of it.

[She smirks.]

If they risk house fires again, I know some people who are going to be in time-out as toads.

Can we at least give them hell first?

[She grins impishly at that.]

Winter wouldn't be a good time of year for a fire period...

[Rydia's quick to nod to Selphie's question.]

Of course!

And I agree, so hopefully it won't be necessary to do that.

If push comes to shove, we'll just ban the boys from playing with the microwave.

A wise course of action.

[She takes a long sip.]

Hm, who do we want to make first? Shiva? Or do you have a favorite?

[So there's a Shiva where Rydia and Ceodore are from too? Interesting. Selphie has other ideas however.]

Carbuncle is my favourite!

Carbuncle? Which one is that?

Hmmm, maybe you don't have Carbuncle where you're from. He helps to protect you. The summons from my world absorb damage for us. He looks like a pale green rabbit.

[That brings out a smile.]

Oh! Like a Hummingway. Alright, we can start with that. I'll take your lead.

A Hummingway? [She nods eagerly before racing back to her pile of winter clothing.] After that, I say we build a Shiva!

[Rydia stands and goes to rinse out her cup, then moves to snag her winter cloak and gloves.]

That sounds like a good plan to me! Let's get started.
