selphie_t | Twelfth Draw = Something's not quite right [Accidental Voice]

[So after three days of trying to convince the clinic staff that she was fine, Selphie was finally released from the coop! It took her longer than usual to get back to the apartment in Community Housing 3 and even longer to make it to the third floor. By the time Selphie makes it to the door, she's fumbling with the keys before she opens the doors and tries to sneak in as quietly as possible. The perky brunette can't hold in the sneeze from the dust that's been collecting on the furniture.

That's odd... the place is usually spotless. Selphie swallows nervously before calling out. She places her journal and a bag with her ruined clothes on the table.]

Quisty? You home?

[Selphie's footsteps echo throughout the empty apartment before she throws open the door to Quistis' room and finds it empty of its contents including one of her best friends. There's a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach that won't go away.]

If this is a joke, it's not funny... and so not your style.

Quisty?

[Selphie looks up and sees that her journal's open and quickly slams the book shut, promptly ending the feed.]

[Tsuzuki nods a little too quickly, as if he's used to that reaction from people.]

Of course. Sorry. Are you going to be okay alone?

She'll be better off back home.

[Selphie nods.]

Mhmm! I'll be fine. I just need some fresh air right now. Thank you though. I'll definitely come visit in a couple days though!

[Tsuzuki gives her a small, but genuine smile.] You're welcome. And I'm sorry she left.

How long did you live together here?

Well... I guess I've been here before but as far as I can recall, since April.

So it's been several months already. How did you meet?

We've known each other since were kids. We grew up together.

You know, I'm sure your friend will come back soon. I doubt you'll be left for long.

[She'll sniffle at that.]

I have my other friends from home here too.

[Aww. Tsuzuki wants to give her a hug, but he can't.]

[He can hug her when they meet for the first time.]

There's Squall, Rinoa, Irvine, Sir Laguna and his wife, Raine here from home.

[He'd like that.]

Wow. That's a lot. I only know two people here that are... well, mine. Do you live with all of them?

[Selphie shakes her head.]

Nope, we don't live together. It's okay though!

Why not?

Hmm, I suppose it's none of my business. I hope you won't be lonely, though.

I dunno why... I could always ask them.

[That gets you a small giggle.]

I'm not alone. I've got a lot of people here too.

I just thought people did that automatically. Particularly here. If not, people might get hurt and feel alone.

[Tsuzuki's facial expression betrays that he's glad for the small laugh.]

Good. But childhood friends are special.

Huh... now I'm definitely gonna ask why now.

[And somehow manage to try and convince them all that it's a good idea to live together. Selphie's hands fold together.]
