Sixth Draw = Action Post!

[It's early in the day and Selphie's already up and at it. This kid clearly doesn't require coffee and as she bounces around the apartment she shares with Quistis with reckless abandon. Thankfully, no important implements were damanged this time as the perky brunette made her way over to Quistis' room. Flinging open the door, Selphie's sunny disposition fills up the doorway before she's announcing to Quistis:]

Quisty, we're going on a field trip! C'mon lazy bones get out of bed already and let's go!

[Surprise Quisty, you're being dragged out for a shopping trip! Girls need a day out every now and again ne?]

You would. Now let me clean up; I'll be out soon.

Would not! 'Kay!

[Selphie wanders out of Quistis' room and she really wouldn't do that to Quisty. Quisty's her big sis and Selphie might be a brat from time-to-time but she loves Quistis.]

You would!

[At least trying to get her into something like that once. Oh, but they could argue this later - Quistis finds her bathrobe draped on a nearby chair, then pulls it on and heads for the bathroom. At least she's used to getting ready very quickly.]

Would not!

[Selphie pouts at Quistis again before she makes her way into her own room to grab her boots.]

[And ten minutes later, Quistis emerges from the bathroom, fully dressed and patting her hair dry with a towel.]

Is there time for some coffee before this... field trip of yours?

[Selphie pops out of her room with her boots in her hands (she had to find them again) and nods.]

Sure is!

What exactly are you thinking of getting for me?

[She's heading for the counter and the wonderful, wonderful coffee maker plugged in there.]

Some spring and summery type stuff. Every girl needs a good, trusty sundress and don't worry, we can find one that you'll really love. Maybe a floral print? Oh! And some nice shirts too! There's all kinds of shops with different types of clothes, we just have to find one that you really like.

[...That can't be all. The look Quistis turns on Selphie now is more suspicious than anything else.]

Is that all? No... embarrassing shorts, or shoes high enough to make me taller than all the men here?

[Selphie's gonna pout at you Quistis. Have a little faith in your friend, would you?]

[...And she folds under that look in less than a minute, starting to feel vaguely guilty.]

All right, I'm sorry - I just don't need to look like... that.

It won't happen.

[And now Selphie's starting to get just a bit of a smile - she never really had much opportunity to do "girly stuff," so this might be fun.]

Just give me a few minutes to eat something and we'll go.

[Ooh Quisty, you're getting beamed at.]

'Kay!

[And a few minutes later, after two cups of coffee and an apple, Quistis finally ties up her hair and gives in to the inevitable.]

All right - I'm ready.

[Selphie leaps up from her chair and looks excitedly at Quistis.]

Let's go!

[And she just gives in to the inevitable and allows herself to be dragged off.]

[Selphie grabs Quistis' left hand and starts guiding her out of their apartment.]

You won't regret this!

[Oh she hopes not...]

[And after about twenty minutes later and lots of Selphie's excited chatter, the perky brunette spots the shops and breaks off into a mad dash ahead of Quistis.]

[With a sigh and at a much more sedate pace, Quistis follows her sort-of sister. As she enters the shop after Selphie, she gives one final caveat.]

And nothing that drops the neckline more than two inches below my collarbone.

[Selphie nods as she holds up a blue tunic-style top with a hopeful look. There's two long strips of fabric on either side that looks like it'll tie up in the back. The neckline doesn't plunge too, too far.]
