[After spending most of the day as a small child and after having been put to bed for the night, Selphie wakes up with a start. She feels constricted with the smaller clothing on and claws it before she breathe freely again. She wraps a blanket around herself and goes out in search of a journal or Lucy. She needs clothes. Her clothes. Or clothes that fit so she can sleep comfortably. She'd been running around the village all day and was dead tired because of it.

But first, she has some Navymen to filter some messages to.]

So, five days as a little kid... it was fun even if I didn't remember anybody. I do know now though. Also, did anyone manage to successfully a certain special someone of mine from brooding himself into a pit of doom? Alrighty, Luceti. I've been effectively gone for two weeks so what've I missed?

And thanks to everybody who played with me this week! I had a blast but I'm going back to bed.

But... could someone bring me some clothes please?

Pit of doom?

[What's wrong with a good brood anyway? It's a perfectly acceptable hobby in Baron and practically expected.]

Everytime something happens to me. Or to Frey. Or someone else in the house.

What about Frey...? Is he okay?

He is, but... his sister got sent home.

Wha..? When? Where is he? Are you sure he's okay? You remember what happened when his Mother was sent back.

I think he's fine. He's off by himself for a few days.

[Selphie sighs.]

Where did he go? I won't let him brood himself into a pit of doom either.

No, Selphie.

[This is Ceodore actually putting his foot down. It's a concept, but on rare occasion he really can dig down stubborn.]

We had a good run in the Battle Dome first. He just needs a few days to sort himself out.

Are you nuts? It's not okay to just sit around and mope in the middle of nowhere in this place. Besides, Frey's always been there for me when something's happened and I'm not about to let him go through things alone just because you think it's the right thing to do. It's not right. Friends support each other and let the other people know that they're there for them if or when they need it.

Having a good run in the Battle Dome doesn't help in the long run either and neither does being by yourself for prolonged periods of time. That's not how I operate and no matter how much you might want to operate like that, it's never going to work.

[Yeah this isn't going to go over so well. Ceodore teleports himself over, carrying the clothes Selphie requested (http://lunarianlegacy.livejournal.com/12433.html?thread=1174161). Clothes that he puts to the side and looks sternly at her.]

[Selphie reaches for the pajamas and burrows into the centre of the blanket and pulls on the clothing so she doesn't have to hide herself. She frowns back darkly.]

Brooding doesn't solve anything. That's what I said. That's what I meant.

[She can frown, but Ceodore is not going to yield on this.]

Selphie, listen to me. His sister went home to have her parents murdered, be forced onto her mother's throne and into a marriage to the person responsible for killing her family.

Just give him time to come to terms with it before breaking it up. Give him time to think.

[Selphie stares. Blankly. She doesn't want to hear anymore. It's incredibly selfish of her as her arms wrap around herself protectively before she turns away from the prince.]

[Ceodore sighs heavily and sits down beside her. He hates so much when she curls up like that and shuts him out, and he's not so clueless that he's unaware that it's unfair that she doesn't like the brooding but then blocks people from her. After some hesitation, he reaches out to rest his hands on her arms through the blankets.]

Selph, please. Please, don't do this. I know I'm not... I'm not as good as I could be, but he's my friend too. I won't let him get hurt if I can help it. I promise.

[She's being childish about this before she flops onto the pillow. Frey and Selphie are so much alike that she doesn't want him to suffer like this. Suffer like she did.]

I know...

[Totally shut out again. It hurts far more than Ceodore will even admit to himself and he of course takes it as yet another failure within himself. After a prolonged and painful silence, he stands up again and crosses to the door.]

I'll see you at home?

[Do you even want to come home?]

[Not entirely. Selphie doesn't mean to hurt him but she reaches for his hand when he moves to leave. She shakes her head and can't find the words to say to convince him to stay.

He really should start prodding her more about things.]

[Why can't she ever find the words to say in these situations?]

[Dear crystals, how much he loves her! The sight of her hand reaching and just missing his stops him in his tracks and he kneels down at the side of the bed.]

What is it?

[She grabs his hands and refuses to let them go when he comes back toward the bed.]

I'm not very good at this... I don't want people to have to be by themselves when they're hurting.

[It makes her hurt for them even more.]

Like you try to do when you're hurting?
