[Backdated to earlier in the day!

It's the first since Selphie had been returned to the village that she dares to venture outside of the house. Of course, she's going out pretty well bundled up but she's in her better safe than sorry mode. Frankly though, if she stays in the house for one minute longer, she may have to start scaling the walls or jumping from the roof of the house again. Housemates of course, might be more than a bit alarmed if Selphie starts jumping off said roof so she decides not to do so. It was fun mind you but yeah... housemates freaking out and possibly landing on Frey again didn't sound like a good idea.

At first, she sits on the porch of the house and just breathes in the fresh air. It's mildly surprising at first but Selphie gets used to the cold air after a few moments. She contemplates going back inside for a few moments before tugging her scarf up higher to cover her nose and cheeks. Really, she looks like a bundled up mass of yellow and pink.

She's just so thrilled to be outside after spending most of the week inside. She takes it slowly at first with her journal in tow and she'll just wander through the village like she did when she first arrived. She missed so many of the New Feathers this time around so she'll wonder if she'll run into any of them this time around. Has she met you? She'd love to meet you and it's not like she's hard to miss. She'll stop by her usual haunts once she arrives in the plaza though.

First stop, she wants a new book or two to read so she'll go check out what's available before wandering about in a lazy pattern. She stops eventually to get something warm to drink before she starts to head back toward the house once again. Maybe she should stop at the clinic and get a check-up just in case the Malnosso have done something to her that she doesn't know about? She doesn't know what they did to her this time but after sleeping off drugs for almost three days, she'd be happier with it out-of-sight, out-of-mind.

She sits down on the fountain's ledge today and decides to put out a general query to the populace of Luceti. One might notice that her voice is a bit muffled though. Blame the scarf, it's cold out!]

Have you got airships where you come from? If so, tell me something about them! Anything at all will do.

[Ami lingers near the doors, passing the time by reading while standing.]

[If Ami looks up, she'll eventually see a mass of pink and yellow meandering toward the library at a steady pace. This mass gradually makes its way up the steps before Selphie pulls the scarf down from her face and smiles.]

Hi!

[She scans her current page for just a moment longer to finish it. Instead of turning to the next, she slips her finger along the spine to mark her place, and looks up.]

Good afternoon.

You're Ami, right? Is it okay to call you that or I should I use your family name? [She knows that much at least!]

[Well, this feels a little awkward. She's still not comfortable with instant intimacy; but it feels a little mean to reject it, too. She settles for a middle ground.]

Usually it would be my family name.

Miss Mizuno, then. [Selphie smiles warmly. She's all for the compromise.]

I wanted to ask you earlier to tell me more about the airships in your world. If we sit down somewhere, is it alright?

[Selphie nods eagerly.]

Sure! Let's head inside then.

Right. There's no point talking in the cold.

[She gives a slight smile as she says this, and turns to head inside. She turns out to be already set up at a nearby table, with a small stack of books she'd been looking through.]

[Selphie takes a few moments to peel off a few layers of clothing. She takes the time to stuff her hat, mittens and scarf into the sleeve of her jacket though before she takes a seat at the table and props her elbows up on said table.]

It's easier to talk indoors anyway. No shouting required! Unless you wanted to shout that is.

[Ami gives a small laugh as she settles her papers and books to make room for them both to sit down.]

Please, go ahead and sit.

[She hesitates to follow her own advice.]

Would you like tea while we talk?

I'd love some, thank you.

[As soon as they planned to meet, Ami made sure to have enough for both of them, and a second cup. Even though it meant going out briefly. She produces the fruits of her labors, a new hot cup of aromatic tea, with a somewhat proud smile.]

[Curling her hands around the mug, Selphie blows on the liquid before taking a careful sip.]

It's good!

I'm glad you like it. [The smile says even more than the words; these little things mean a lot to her.]

If you want, you could come over to the house sometime to have tea properly.

It's great. What flavour is it?

I'd love to! [She'll even bring goodies from the bakery.]

Mm. It's a sort of chamomile blend. There are several different kinds in it.

[This isn't discussing airships, but she doesn't want to be rude by changing the subject to that so quickly anyway.]

I didn't know many people liked tea here.

It's better than coffee and it tastes better too.

Mm. But coffee is good for long shifts at the hospital, when I have to stay awake.

Do you work at the clinic then?

Yes. I spoke with one of the doctors awhile back who was organizing the schedules and shifts. If I'm going to be living here, I should contribute something, too.

[Selphie isn't overly fond of doctor's so it's nice to know that one is approachable.]

I've been volunteering my time at the Welcome Centre and doing patrols as a member of the Blue Rogues myself.

It sounds as though you're very busy.

I think it's better to keep busy than be bored all the time.

I was always very busy back home, so, a part of me thinks it's be nice to take it easy awhile, sometime.
