[It's a bit late at night - after class is over, though class ended early in the absence of Law and Litchi - when Mia takes a detour on her way home, to stop by Selphie's apartment instead. It's been a while since she heard from her, and with the injuries she had, checking up on her can't hurt.

Knock knock.]

Selphie?

[It's been three days since his birthday. Things are still chilly around the apartment. And frankly, Ceodore's damned tired of sleeping on the couch. So despite actually appreciating his gift from his father, he decides it's maybe the better choice to take Cecil's advice and offer his sweetheart the gift as a burnt offering of appeasement. However, he's done his homework and combed every inch of every store in the village and finally finally found the item he was after.

After a moment's hesitation, he knocks on the door to their bedroom armed with two small packages wrapped in festive paper. Why is that stuff all over the village anyway?]

Selphie?

[It's rare for Grune to worry, but she's worrying now. Cecil and Selphie have been taking Ceodore going home very hard. It isn't a surprise--Ceodore is such a sweet boy--but just because it isn't a surprise doesn't mean it's something that's all right.

Yesterday, she brought a little present to Cecil. Now it's time to do something for Selphie.

And so she gathers up a few things and makes an early-morning trip to the flower shop. From there, she makes her way to Selphie's apartment and knocks.]

Selphie?

[Over the past few days Don had, by various means, contrived to learn where Selphie really lives. This felt like a conversation they should have in person.]

[So, around mid-afternoon, he'll be knocking on her door.]

[Selphie returns the hug from Grune but doesn't let go of her friend for quite some time. A lot of Luceti has changed but some things will never change. Grune is one of those things that will change for Selphie and she's glad for the familiarity of the older woman to help the perky brunette readjust to life in Luceti.

Selphie looks up at Grune with happy tears welling at the corners of her eyes, sunny smile firmly in place.]
